Searching
The Building Control application search service provides access to all the
applications received by the District Council since 1974. The web site search
system links directly to the councils internal database and is therefore up to
date with changes made on our system the previous working day.
It allows general searches to be undertaken by searching:
as well as providing predefined results for:
How to book an inspection
You can now use the web register to book a building regulations inspection. Firstly you need to search for your application using the links above. When the results are displayed, find your application and click on the application number to display more details. At the bottom of the page you will see a link to "request an inspection"
Entering Words
Please enter a word or phrase specifically associated
with the property you are interested in, e.g. name of the street or road
(common street names e.g. High Street, should be accompanied by the town) and
avoid searching on a whole town as this will slow up the whole search process.
Entering the application reference number
This should be entered in the same way that it is displayed on the councils correspondence W20061304BR
Entering Dates
All dates should be entered in the following format:
DD/MM/YYYY.
Results
The results will be sorted by case file number, although
"CTRL F" can be used to find a particular word within the results listing page.
Please click on the "Case Number" to show more details for the required
application.
Any search will provide details regarding the case
file reference, its address, application type, a description of the works and
important dates. Further information including the applicants name, agent
details and officer details.
Applications with a suffix of FW, CPS, CW, IN or API are applications for which companies are obliged to notify the Council of all the works taking place.
When research reveals FW, CPS, CW, IN or API applications, the Council does NOT hold any type of paperwork and no paper decisions or completions can be issued.
Newly built properties will normally appear on our system listed under the name of the original development and not under the finalised street address. If you are searching for a property built after 1974 and cannot find a record of it on our system, please contact us.
